So hopefully I hope to blog again (for real this time) because first, I want to write down happy memories and second, write down my experience at the hospital so I clearly remember little details that push me forward to wanting to become a doctor.

Shall spend this and next week wisely before the internship starts!

O, I just applied to be a volunteer translator for the HK news, I’ll get to translate and post on asianeu.net. What fun, time to drill and sharpen my chinese

IT IS BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE. A WINTER WONDERLAND OF COURSE!

Wonder if the kids will have school tomorrow. I wish not for them, they deserve a day of rest

Today was a busy day for me. I worked from 10-3 at the doc’s office and then 3-6 at the school. At the school, the kids’ snack was carrots, who would eat carrots as a snack nowadays… Ended up that these kids didn’t even eat any of them, HAHAHA! So tireddd, but work is fun, better than staying at home doing nothing. The good thing is that I can make moneyyy $$$

Tomorrow is my Project Ahead hangout. We’re planning to buy a cake for our supervisor and surprise her for her birthday. Then eat lunch at this dimsum cafe place in chinatown and karaoke.. but don’t know if it will workout since the storm is hitting us. I really hope we can meet b/c I miss everyoneeeee!!

So I decided to go back to blogging again, I really want to keep down what I did so I can remember what happen in the past. Let’s see how it goes.

So its the New Year 2011! I should set up some New Year’s Resolution for myself this year, but I can’t think of it at the top of my head. Of course, I want to get good grades, stay healthy and have fun but I should set up more legit resolutions that I can achieve in 2011. (I’ll write them down when I think of them)

So, to begin my new year, I went skiing with coworkers at the pharmacy my mom works. I met up with my mom’s boss in front of his pharmacy and drove up to NJ- Mountain Creek. The place is amazing and sooo pretty! The hills looked so steep and scary. I was super scared but still told my mom’s boss “how hard can it be really? All you do is just slide down.” The rest of the group came and we rented skiis and boots. It was super hard to put them on. The sad part is that everyone knows how to skii and I am only the beginner. Even the little kids age 5 or 6 knows how to skii. Ahhhh! I took a lesson with an instructor and it was so hard to understand. I slided down several times and couldn’t stop myself. The instructor had to hold on to me 3 times, ahhahahhaha! SO EMBARRASING! After the lesson, we all went to the food court and ate lunch. After, we decided to go on some slopes to practice. One of the guys, Simon decided to teach me how to start and stop skiing from the bunny slope. I ended up falling most of the time and failed! I told him to leave and I’ll practice by myself so he can go to the black diamond slope (the highest slope on the mountains). I tried several times, but failed! I decided to not use the poles during skiing and it all worked out. I was able to slide down easily and make turns. However, I still couldn’t stop. I would crash on the floor at the end of the slope. I then skiied with the kids and finally asked them how they stopped. I took another chance to slide again and finally was able to stop! Thankfully, I was able to go up to the slope, slide and stop for 5 times. It was getting dark, so we left at around 6. It was sooo much fun, definitely an accomplishment. Hopefully, I can come skiing again.

Yesterday was the first friday night I stayed over in my dorm. I had work until 6 then interned till about 8. I went to my friend’s dorm and we cooked mexican eggs. It’s sooo fun cooking. And we added wine to our mexican egg- yummest thing ever. I also dranked sparkling apple cider – the best drink ever! After, I did my laundry and showered. Went back down to my friend’s dorm for mango sorbet YUM! I stayed in her room to do some studying and chinese homework. Good Good night!

I went to see lion king broadway with my two friends on wednesday night. It was the most awesomest thing ever! I loved it so much and even cried when Musafa died. Aww simba is sooo hot in the show. We had the front row seats and I clearly could see the people’s expressions and hot bodies. LOL. Great night ever!

Saturday was my NYNY workshop. I learned so much from today’s workshop. “I should look at things in a different perspective and never assume.”

Going to start blogging again (hopefully) but what I will do is write as bullets, not paragraph.

- went to dim sum with uncle, aunt and cousins and then played tennis for 2 hours

- started doing my genetics problem set (stared at it for a long time and didn’t get anything done)

- started studying for chemistry… going to get up early tomorrow – hmm 4 hours of studying is enough I guess for the first exam?

Stress is building on.. ughhhh.. I am soo tired.

Happy things

These days, there are things that make me happy.

1) My dell netbook came: I love it. Its a black mini little thing, super light compared to my heavy laptop and it is super easy to carry around.

2) Knowing that I still have 2 more weeks to relax before I start my exciting internship!

3) Getting mocha and caramel frappe with my sister today. We just sat at Mcdonalds (believe or not, this Mcdonald is so new that it has sofas and swinging chairs)

4) Went shopping and bought a couple of stuff that I always wanted. (e.g: shades, shorts, nice tanks)

5) Sitting in a living room with ac while babysitting- that means making $$ (the family bought extra sushi and offered me sashimi)

6) Volunteering at the hospital makes me happy sometimes – seeing happy patients make me happy

7) The weather is amazing this week, love it!

Keeping my 20 minutes yoga + crunch practice every night!

9) Got a haircut last weekend and I’m suprised alot of people like my short haircut. I love it too! (Picture I took is super dark and blurry, sorry! Just see me in person hehehehe xD)

Plans & My saturday

Today was a great day, I spent my morning and afternoon with my sister at home talking, eating and watching tv. At night, my family and my mom’s co-worker decided to go out and eat at 86st. The place in chinese is called “shabu shabu”, and it is super popular- lots of advertisement in the radio. I ordered a beef steak – came with the steak, fried rice, egg, corn and a milk tea. My sister, my mom and my mom’s coworker ordered a pork chop. My dad wasn’t super hungry so each of us just give him some of our foodd to make up I really liked that place and their shabu shabu is 16.00 per person for 2 hours – all you can eat. Definitely want to try that next time Afterwards, when we came home, my family decided to take a long walk. We walked all the way to fort hamilton and backwards – good exercise (plan to do this everyday from now to digest our dinner) Came back, took a shower and watched some hk drama.

Curing my boredom

I was soo bored at home – finished with watching tv and done cleaning the house. I got a text from my sister at around 12 “meet me at atlantic mall at 2:55″. I went to meet her up and went to target. She got a super nice black bag and I also got a tannish brown shoulder bag. After, we went to dsw and I got black pumps. They’re only 1 inch- the 3-4 inch ones make me look so tall and they’re not that comfortable either. I’m so happy I got my first pair of heels besides the ones I got for prom.

We ended up getting a bit hungry so we stopped by at coldstone. We got the chocolate devotion signature love it (chocolate ice cream, brownies, fudge and chocolate chip). It tastes so goodd!!!! Afterwards we took the train back, stopped at key food to buy some groceries.

Thanks sis for curing my boredom!

Catching Up

Carmen and I decided to meet up at Chinatown on tuesday to catch up with each other. We went to Ming Xing restaurant and ordered a fried rice noodle, fake shark fin soup, a beef congee and myself a hong kong style milk tea. It was really nice sitting, eating and talking to a friend whom I haven’t seen for couple of months. It was definitely a good catch up because I miss Carmen way too much. I’m glad she loves binghamton and knows that she’s happy there.

After eating, we decided to go to soho. Carmen ended up getting a super cute t-shirt at forever21 (bumped into Jeremy and maybe his girlfriend – he denied/ but I assumed it is his girlfriend xD ). We walked into a jewelry shop and I ended up getting a pink rose ring for 5 dollars. I really like it and its an addition to my accessories collection. Need to buy necklaces and bracelets at forever21 next time.
